“The Exploration geology course on offer at Rhodes is undoubtedly of high quality especially considering how industry oriented it is. Its structure makes useful not only to the exploration industry but in the operating mines as well. Having been through it I feel that my geological and exploration understanding have been tremendously broadened and I feel able to handle most of the challenges at all stages of exploration. Most of the things covered over the course of the year were interesting. The subjects studied included the magmatic deposits in the first module, hydrothermal deposits the second module, surface processes and evaluation in the third and fourth modules respectively. I was particularly fascinated to have visited the world’s largest layered intrusion (the Bushveld Complex) in the first module. I am proud to have been associated with the course. The course deserves support. Thanks.”
